Mrs. Sarah “Peggy” Elizabeth Sanders Dudney, 90, of Tabor City, died in Whiteville, on September 11, 2020.
She was born in Marion County, SC on May 7, 1930, a daughter of the late John Gary and Alma Capps Sanders.
Mrs. Dudney was a member of the Jones Street Missionary Baptist Church in Tabor City, and a retired CNA.
Graveside service will be private.
Surviving are a son, Eldred “Chip” Dudney, Jr. of Chapel Hill, NC; three daughters, Shannon Evans of Lumberton, NC, Pamela (Winfred) Prince of Tabor City, NC; and Kem Dudney of Waynesboro, VA; a brother, Laurens Sanders of Flat Rock, NC; two sisters, Margaret Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC and Lorraine Stackhouse of Marion, SC; four grandchildren, Daniel Prince of Wilmington, NC, Amber (Jesse) Coleman of Tabor City, NC, Seth ( Hayley) Evans of Concord, NC, and Rachel Evans of Raleigh, NC; and five very special great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldred C. Dudney, Sr., two brothers and one sister.
Viewing will be held on Sunday afternoon at Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff, NC from 3:00 pm to 5:00 p.m.
Services are entrusted to Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff.
