Monroe "Pebo" Enzor Jr.

July 24, 1940 ~ September 4, 2018 (age 78)

Fair Bluff, NC

Monroe “Pebo” Enzor Jr. went to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 4, 2018. He was the son of the late Grace Britt Enzor and Monroe Enzor Sr. of Fair Bluff. Mr. Enzor was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Enzor White Baxter, an infant daughter, Melanie Ann Enzor, and infant grandson Perry Blake Enzor.
He was an agriculture teacher of 30 years beginning his career at Cerro Gordo High School and retiring from West Columbus High School. He realized that an education extended far beyond the classroom as he shared his love and passion of being a lifelong farmer with taking “His boys”(students) on countless field trips to his own farm, not to mention the life lessons he taught his own sons and grandsons. In recent years his farming activities turned to mentoring young farmers and soil and water conservation. Some of his civic activities included Brunswick Electric Board of Directors, Fair Bluff Advisory Board of First Union Bank, UCB Bank and BB&T, FFA Advisor, SCC Foundation Board, West Columbus Advisory Board, Fair Bluff Watermelon Growers Board of Directors, Fair Bluff Fireman Relief Board, Fair Bluff Baptist Church Finance Committee, and member of Fair Bluff Tobacco Growers Warehouse.
The family will receive visitors from 1 p.m.-3:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 with the service following at 3:30 p.m. at Fair Bluff Baptist Church in Fair Bluff.
He was loved and his memory will be cherished by many family members and friends. Pebo is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Judy Ann Small Enzor. He left his wisdom and love with children, Monroe Enzor III  (Amanda), Sonya Enzor Strickland (Woody), Christopher Pebo Enzor (Kim) and James Perry Enzor (TJ).  He also left his “mark” on 10 grandchildren, David Enzor, Emily E. Prueter, Haley E. Sellers, Mary Ashton S. Gore, Sawyer Strickland, Tristyn Enzor, Logan Enzor, Seth Enzor, Alexis Enzor, Braxton Enzor; and five great-grandchildren,  D.J. Enzor, Lawson Prueter, Remi Sellers, Chandler Prueter and Stella Grace Batten. He is also survived by a special friend and family member Monico Pacheo (Alicia).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Columbus FFA or Fair Bluff Baptist Church.
